N3RD.

The feeling of piloting a precision instrument — weighted, silent, physically real.

01 — Principles

Five rules that govern every decision.

The brand is not a logo or a colour. It is a discipline: the calm, dense feeling of a machine built to a tolerance no one asked for. Everything below serves that.

P—01

Piloting mass, not chasing speed

The world glides on a locked horizon. Scroll has weight and inertia. Nothing rushes toward the visitor; everything settles into place.

P—02

Colour is an event

~90% of every surface is sober titanium and true-black. Colour and over-bright light appear only on the glass edge, only in motion — never as wallpaper.

P—03

Restraint is the loudest signal

One crescendo per page, earned by the stillness around it. Negative space, hairlines, machined easing. When in doubt, remove an element and add space.

P—04

Physically real

One light source, globally consistent. Glass refracts, metal anodizes, highlights catch. Detail at the micro scale; emptiness at the macro scale.

P—05

Embody, never announce

The work proves the standard. We never claim status; we render a colour, a brightness and a calm the visitor's own eye registers as rare.

03 — Colour · Optical · HDR

A neutral hull, lit by a colour other screens can't show.

Authored in OKLCH so the interference accents render in Display-P3 where the screen allows — a hue and a brightness that physically clip on sRGB/SDR. The differentiator is the gamut and the dynamic range, not a fashionable hue.

Checking your display…

Neutral hull — ~90% of every surface

The event — edges & motion only

Contrast — validated against the brightest plausible frame (snow), not the average

04 — Typography

Neutral geometry carries the work; warm serif carries the voice.

PP Neue Montreal for everything structural — wordmark, UI, body. Fraunces for editorial headlines and pull-quotes only, never in motion. stand-in Space Grotesk substitutes for PP Neue Montreal here until the licensed files are installed.

Serif · 300 / 400 · headlines ≥40px & pull-quotes only · never body, never UI, never animated
05 — Spacing & Grid

A 4px base. Whitespace is a feature.

One geometric scale governs every gap, pad and rhythm. Section padding breathes with the viewport; content never exceeds a comfortable measure.

12-column grid, generous gutters. Glass panels align to columns even over full-bleed footage. Hero boxes sized in dvh, never vh (iOS toolbar). Max content measure 60–72ch.

06 — Motion

Machined easing. Panels settle; they never bounce.

The absence of springiness is the luxury cue. Three curves, bounded durations, nothing over 900ms. Click a curve to feel it.

Banned: spring, overshoot, bounce, elastic, decorative parallax, anything over 900ms. Scrub smoothing uses slight inertia (scrub: 1); 1:1 only for precise moments.

07 — Glass Lab · Optical Crystal

Solid while you move. Glass when you rest.

The signature material and the core performance fix in one behaviour: panels stay opaque and crisp during scroll, then clarify — blur engages, tint thins, the P3 + HDR specular edge catches the single light source. Toggle the state, or hover the panel.

Selected work

boum.ai

A panel locks to a point on the slope and holds. On rest it becomes glass — and the spectrum arrives only here, only now.

state: settled · blur 2px · fill 94% · spec 10%
Rule:  max two glass surfaces per viewport. Never bg-white/10 backdrop-blur-md border-white/20. Blur ≤20px. Single light source, globally consistent. Live backdrop-filter never runs over the repainting canvas during scroll.
08 — Footage & Grade

A slow cinematic glide. Locked horizon. One master LUT.

Selection

  • Gliding dolly-forward & slow ridgeline reveals
  • Horizon within ~5° of level
  • Authored alpine — fog, light, abstract ridgelines, negative space
  • Custom shoot or cinema-grade licence only
  • Master 4K/10-bit, ship 1080p (1440p max)

Never

  • Banking, dives, whip-pans, freestyle FPV moves
  • Recognisable peaks / ski-resort promo energy
  • Free stock mountain clips
  • Teal-and-orange LUT, oversharpening, vignette, HDR glow
  • Crushed blacks

Grade: restrained desaturated alpine — cool slate-blue shadows, warm-neutral (not orange) highlights, lifted blacks, low-to-mid saturation. One master brand LUT baked into every frame so all footage matches. Every shot behind text must be scrimmable to AA.

09 — Voice & Tone

Write the feeling. Never state it.

⚠ Non-negotiable

We never claim to be the most expensive, most coveted, or best agency — in copy, code, comments, or alt text.

No superlatives of premium status. The standing is embodied through restraint, density of detail, and the quality of the work — never announced. This rule is policed in every review.

We say
Precise, plain, confident. Short declaratives. Active voice. "We build the experience your customer never forgets." Specifics over adjectives.
We never say
"world-class", "best-in-class", "luxury" "award-winning", "industry-leading" "most sought-after / expensive in Europe" Any boast the work should prove instead.
10 — Accessibility

A first-class experience, not a fallback.

prefers-reduced-motion

Graded static poster. No scrub, no fly-in — opacity-only reveals. A calm, luxe state in its own right.

prefers-reduced-transparency

Solid panels ≥95% tint, backdrop-filter removed. (Active on this page — try it.)

Continuous motion

Visible pause/play control for any ambient motion (WCAG 2.2.2).

Contrast

4.5:1 body, 3:1 large/UI/non-text — validated against the snow frame, not the average.

Keyboard & focus

PageDown/Space/Home/End/arrows scroll; anchors jump true; focus scrolls into view through pinned sections.

CI gate

axe-core in CI, hard-fail on AA misses. No regression ships.

11 — Dos & Don'ts

The whole system, in two columns.

Do

  • Physically-correct single light source
  • Modest blur, immaculate type, fine grain
  • Authored landscape; panels that settle
  • Colour as a rationed event on the glass edge
  • 60fps — or a perfect static frame

Don't

  • "Liquid Glass" / Apple naming, or "FPV" as a genre
  • Flat 1px white borders; stacked frosted cards
  • Neon/rainbow fills; iridescence as wallpaper
  • Blur radii over 20px; teal/orange grade
  • Spring/bounce; autoplay audio; superlatives
